Honey has been used by many different cultures since pre-Ancient Egyptian times as a topical treatment for a variety of ailments, but only recently have the antiseptic and antibacterial properties of honey been chemically explained. While we have begun to unravel the secrets of honey’s regenerative properties, there are still hundreds of elements in its chemical structure that remain a mystery to modern science.
