Having strong healthy skin comes from the inside out. While it is vitally important to maintain a healthy layer of protective oils on the skin, courtesy of Sweet Bee Magic of course, we at the Apothecary also recognize that eating the right foods can have a profound effect on your outward appearance. So while you're bundled up during this blustery winter weather, in honor of National Oatmeal Month, you may want to enjoy a warm, nourishing bowl of oatmeal.
~Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Oatmeal~
1 1/2c. Water
1 1/4c. Organic Steel Cut Oats
Boil for about 5-7 minutes, until most of the water has been absorbed. It's a very creamy cereal, so watch closely at the end to not over cook.
Add a drizzle of Organic Honey or Organic Sugar
Sprinkle a small handful of Organic Chocolate Chips of top to melt and 1tsp Organic Wheat Germ. Scoop a generous spoonful of any sort of nut butter, but Organic Peanut Butter's the traditional friend of chocolate.
