AHA moment

Have you had an AHA moment?!

This post is brought to us by our very own esthetician, Jaclyn!

Before I became an esthetician and was still blissfully unaware of the miracle that is Alpha Hydroxy Acid, I saw it popping up on the shelves of department stores and health food stores everywhere, unknowingly pronouncing it AHAH! Little did I know how fitting that mispronunciation really was. AHAs are mild acids derived from various fruits, plants, and lactose. The most common AHA’s are glycolic (sugar cane), lactic (milk), tartaric (grapes), citric (citrus fruits), and Malic (apples). AHA’s penetrate the top layers of the epidermis, where dead cells are, and loosen the bonds between cells.

Here are just a few of the amazing benefits from utilizing Alpha Hydroxy Acids in your skin regime:

- Improve skin texture and barrier function
- Increase CRF (cellular renewal factor), hydration, and intercellular lipids
- Skin looks and feels softer and smoother
- Improves acne, hyperpigmentation, and clogged pores
- Stimulates collagen and elastin production

Our proprietary blend contains an ultra-concentrated and an ultra-pure form of AHA that is easily absorbed by the skin. During the day use Medicine Mama’s Sweet Bee Magic after cleansing and before make-up application. In the evening after cleansing, use a thicker layer for ultra-moisturizing and absorption. Wake up with a luminous healthy glow!
